Answers from an Open heart

By Tony DeLorger © 2011

Answers remain elusive,

when love is at arms length,

hidden behind the shells we create,

the walls of rejection, pain and isolation.

An open heart beckons life to propagate,

the heart to become vulnerable yet relentless,

in its vision of purity and right.

Love is the only answer to suffering,

the only panacea for human misery.

It is the course of will and self

that undermines happiness and serenity,

causes strife in the unrelenting quest of balance,

recognising compassion and the ideal of peace, the only way.

Love cannot change men without acceptance,

without surrender to an infinite potential,

governed by a giving heart, selfless actions

and the sacrifice of self-gain to a higher paradigm.

The answers we seek are but a fingertip away,

and have always been,

elusive only to those unwilling to embrace the soul,

to practise compassion, kindness and unconditional love.

The truth, however difficult is the door to freedom,

to accepting our true nature

and the healing hand of love.

Though it takes courage to open the heart, our hearts have much to tell us. Thank you, Tony
