Appreciation Goes A Long Way
Spending Quality Time
Facing so many issues and challenges every day
It is so easy to go astray
Finding reasons to complain about things that go bad in our life
It can be done and once practiced over and over again turns into a habit
I honestly think some people find it fun
To argue and cause trouble seems to be the norm
What will people say if they can't find fault and be disgusted ?
I have actually heard
I am not living if I can't tell it the way it is
Think of what you are saying...
Listen to your thoughts
What are you thinking ?
Pessimists bring out the bad
They thrive on things that are sad
On the other hand
Optimist live with their heads in the clouds
How bad does that sound ?
Finding a shred of good in a bad situation or problem
Looking for the good when all you can see is unhappiness and fault
Changing a problem slowly so we can have another option
Think of life this way
If you were in any one of these situations
What would you do ?
Lets pretend for a moment this is your day
Your child was sick and asked you am I going to get better ?
What would your answer be ?
I don't know and there is a good chance you are going to be sick many times in your whole life
That is a fact but we don't say it
We say take this medicine it will make you better
Even though we know the medicine helps fight the problem not the cause
We have faith and trust in doctors and in medicine that the our child will get better
When your child breaks their leg
Do we say that's funny and I am glad you did because I broke mine about your age
As parents we say once again...
These things happen and we will go to the doctors and fix that leg
Soon your leg will be all better
If your child does bad on a test and feels terrible
What is your reaction ?
I knew you would flunk and you will never learn
Do we say it was one of many tests and if you study hard you will do better
Each time looking for the good
Finding a better choice than one that is given
So next time you want to talk bad about someone
Add negative thoughts to make life tougher than it is
Point out the worst
Think again
Is this the life we want to live ?
Maybe just maybe
We are having a rough patch and most of the time our life is pretty good
