Are you awake ?.......Poem

The only time in eternity
that I miss
being young and remembering
was how to truly feel
How naïve we were then
to think that
an hour of darkness and a certain touch
could heal
Where do we go from here is it
enough to just remember
will this quiet touch of hands
suffice
perhaps that old couple
said it best
"Ahh yes my love
..... remember when ?"

I definitely remember when. Just not where I left my glasses.

1,2,3....drink! That's what I remember and yes, I am wide awake! Good to see you Ed and hope all is well.

As always, take some love from the sky.

Remembering what has gone before is good, we can learn from our experiences, but looking forward to what is yet to be is good, too. Thanks for the nostalgia of remembrances.

Nice reflective piece of our youth, but as long as we are not dead, it is amazing to live in the present, this day.

Very thoughtful poem that gives room to ponder on "remember when". I love to see or read about old couples who have been together for so long. Beautiful poem, Ed.
