As I ...

The Face Of A Murderer

Source

This poem is about Anders Behring Breivik, who killed 77 people in Norway last summer. He's now in court. Read more about what he did in this hub:

The Massacre in Norway

He is a monster with blue eyes

I see him every day

As I turn on the TV

As I open the newspaper

As I close my eyes

He is a man with a messed up brain

I think of him right now

As I turn on my computer

As I read the on-line news

As I close my eyes

He is the centre of attention

I remember what he did

As I write this now

As I go to bed

As I close my eyes

He is not worth all of this

I think he is awful

As he sits in the court

As he smiles at the camera

As he still exists

As I close my eyes

I wish he would disappear

And all the people he killed

would come back again

I have really wanted to delete this hub many times, but it's still here to show my readers how this monster affected me.

Thank you Pamela99. He's not really worth a poem, but writing poetry is a way for me to let the feelings out.

I'm so out of touch, Made! I've never heard of this person and I agree with you, he is not worth a poem, certainly not one as well done as this.

Thank you Bill. He's all over the news here. The trial against him will last 10 weeks, I've heard.

Fitting! But lemme tell you something! These psychopaths.. these scourges know nothing about art.. about love... about feelings... they just have an urge... a bloody urge to destroy...

This man and your poem reminded me of NITHARI KILLINGS in India, in which a man... a cannibal...a necrophilic... murdered numerous innocent children that.... but didn't show any shame ... ever,,

regards

Rahul

Rahul0324, you are so right - no feelings at all. The only time this man has cried in court so far was when they showed him a propaganda film he had made himself. By killing all these innocent teenagers, he thought he had saved Europe from a war. He's just insane! Thank you for your comment. It's much appreciated.

Yes he is insane, he does not deserve a poem, but you have rightly written about him to make the world aware about the villains in our society.

Hi Vinaya, the scary thing is that he isn't alone with his opinions. Maybe we are too naive if we think all people we meet are good people. I'd like to think that, but you never know. Thank you!

Madeleine, I am glad you took out your anger here!!! He will get what is coming to him for sure! Your words were expressed with great energy that the reader could feel in their gut! Voted up!!!

Thank you iamaudraleigh!!! Maybe I feel more anger for him than people elsewhere in the world. Norway is so close to Finland. I hope they keep him locked in for the rest of his life. They probably will. I appreciate your comment and your voting.

Made, this was such a shocking and horrific event and the trial will be, I'm sure, a circus. The world can only wait and hope that some measure of justice will be done.

Surely, he isn't worth your poem but it helped you to get it out. Maybe if he had put his frustrations and anger onto paper, this whole thing might not have happened. We could only wish ...

Poetic Fool, thank you! It really helped me to get the frustrations out by writing. All the wonderful comments show me that there are may good hearted people around the world, who found their way to HubPages. :)

Way to go Made. Well said. I hope he doesn't stay in your head for long. He doesn't deserve the space. I understand your words though. All too much.

Thank you Ruchira. He doesn't look like he could have killed someone. He doesn't look scary at all, and that's what I think is scary. I really appreciate your comment.

Only a true artist uses her words to express feelings like these. It doesn't seem a subject to write about but once it's in your head it has to come out. You've done a great job. Voted up.

Hi tillsontitan, I had some mixed feelings before I published this hub, but I felt like I had to do it. Thank you for your kind words. I really appreciate it.
