Crossing Guilt off your List.....

You had you're conversation with God today
he forgives all your transgressions
Told you there's a fine line between
bended rules and full blown confessions

And gently ...so as not to make him angry
you suggested he forgive your sins
You offered ...what good would it do
if he only let the non-decievers in

I have seen the wayward children
choking on your guilt edged favors
Can a human justify anything
the human body savors

Maybe the best thing God can do is
hold up the mirror in reflection
Then you can answer for yourself
why you recieved rejection

I cannot believe God won't look tired
as our time comes around
Pointing one way or the other ......
for you ....he makes no sound

Around and along the lines form and as
you make you're way through
Your interest is paid already on
the dept that isn't due

I hope it burns just a little when he points
to the line moving south
Someones waiting for you my friend
a silent a smirk on his mouth

Right to point indeed. So far, I think I did make enough comments about it myself but not really sure anybody truly heard me. Glad to hear this came from you, dear poetic father. Knowing that never once, you showed me something differently from what I thought about you. Great words! Important message. Hope even only one person, it will be hear, but if it won't, unless we did tried at our best. Big hug from far away land.

Very thought provoking indeed. Luckily God is forgiving, and not only the righteous is welcomed but more so the transgressor.

Gulp! Sure wouldn't want to be in that line going down. God has given so much grace and love already. I am amazed that we ask for more than His own precious Son. You are so right, that debt isn't due. Jesus already paid it and we hang onto the bill with desperate hands refusing to walk in freedom and light. His love surpasses more than we comprehend.

thanks for this beautiful and inspiring reminder. I just love it.

Beautifully expressed, my poetic friend. The reflection line is one I resonate with.

Can I say it again? Voted up! :)

Just deserts comes to mind. Again beautifully put, as only you can. I share your sentiments here.

"Can a human justify anything

the human body savors"

There is no justification what so ever, but what irks me most is that for my betrayer, there was no accountability. Thats been left up to God.

Thank you. I share your sentiments here.

Fennelseed , I suppose those who are easy to forgive and forget, are better off somehow, but some things are grievously to evil to forgive and thats when revenge comes to mind.....but we wont go there....:-}

No, we won’t go there. I am so sorry my comment this morning came out of my knee jerk reaction to your words because I applied them to my own circumstances instead of simply appreciating them. Your poem, as always, conveys such deep feelings but is put in such a way that the reader is left in awe. You are able to express distain and disgust in a beautiful flow of words. I really appreciate your message here; it is not for us to judge and long for retribution, that is done for us.

Love your words, thank you so much ahorseback.

Fennelseed, No appology is required here , you see , I believe our system of justice [In America] is so skewered as to require a complete remodeling from the foundation up. Some of the most famous cases in question today right down to the smallest infractions. Unfortunately alot of it is do to the softening of human nature in this last century. Extreme liberalism is now the rule of proceedure in courtrooms. And Money has a lot to do with it. I truely believe in the earliest forms of justice , rather than the hypocracy that is in place today. So many people concider themselves christian ,for instance, and yet to punish as in an eye for an eye? "Not in my backyard"....I better not get started....:-}

No, I won't get you started, but I do agree that the justice system, here in Australia also, is far too soft. Unfortunately I can't see it changing. Divine deliverance will be done however, unfortunately a little too late for the victims, as society doesn’t offer many deterrents... hey now you are getting me going......

..."Maybe the best thing God can do is

hold up the mirror in reflection" - oh, so very powerful and if this happens, I'm a goner. How is it that one woman (me) has made so many wrong choices, some of them really stupid, in her life? Guilt. This is a tough one for me and I am still working on letting go of it even today. I love your poem and the message that it brings.

Rated up, useful, awesome, beautiful.
