Be My Valentine This Day
Be My Valentine This day
Come, my Beloved,
Beseechingly I pray,
Come into the stillness of the morn,
And be my Valentine, this day.
Here on this hallowed soil,
I’ve played my part;
The enchantment of Your wondrous Lila,
Dances no more,
Inside my forlorn heart.
Come, my blissful Lord,
Play inside this golden citadel,
With the freedom of the dove;
Let Your perfumed flowers be,
A garland of divinity’s love.
Come, sweet One,
Put anklets on my feet,
And may Thy victory-bells,
Intoxicate my core with nectar-sweet.
Love-light and delight.
My eternally Beloved All,
Stay by my side, and
Smile with benediction;
As Your soothing balm
Relieve my cares; caress my aching Spirit.
This moment comes but once a year,
All other days fly swift, I fear.
Hold my hands so I can say:
“You are my Valentine this day!”
Embrace me with encircling love,
Within, without, below, above.
