One day
I won't see it coming
I won't see you coming
But still its coming one day

One time
Is it wrong or right
Everything that I see is mine
Everything that I seek is it divine
Everything keeps going away

Oh maybe
I can see it coming
I can see you running away
Lately I can see the changes coming
Things keep going away

I keep saying
I see everything in front of me
I just keep on running away

Awake now
If I feel it inside me
Every time that I wish its like
Every time that I need it fights
Every time keeps me in flight

Oh milady
I can see you coming
I can see you running away
Lately
Can't keep the change from coming
It keeps coming my way

I keep waiting
I see everything I want to be
I just keep on going astray

Suddenly now
Is there anyone alive
Entropy that feels like lightning
Entropy that feels so frightening
Entropy keeps slowly my pain

Oh baby
I can't see you coming
I can't see you running away
Lately
I can feel the changes coming
Things are going my way

One day
I won't see it coming
I won't see you coming
But still its coming one day
Lately
I see everything becoming light
I won't see you running away

Oh baby
I see everything becoming light
Everything becoming light
Everything becoming
Everything
Becoming light
Becoming
Light

Poetic Notes and History on by Blake4d

The majority of this poem comes from a point when I was experimenting with various types of tape loop style remixing, and was writing vocal lines to go with the music. It was a song at one point, but I never really was satisfied with the end result. It is loosely based around where I was at in 1999 and some of it is inspired by a relationship with my friend Deborah. The ultimate significance of the piece is talking about the contradiction within the nature of transformation as an individual. How we see ourselves in others, then see ourselves polarizing and that in between we find our own personal steps of enlightenment. Becoming more than ever being is perhaps the moral tale behind it. If you can imagine the song would have a quarter of strings with a digital drum synchronization. I think the original sample came from a Spice Girls song called 'Mama' - none the less, that's about the story as I remember it. Personally I like this one, maybe not my best, maybe not my worst. But I like it. Actually that is a kind of rare thing for me to say, which goes to show just how much this simple piece means to me. Ahh out little babies that are our art, the ones we treasure are like our children. Now you readers really know more about me as a writer than you need to. Laughter...end tape.

All I can say is that it reminded me of when at one time I was feeling very low and I commented to my best friend - "we keep saying someday our ship will come in, but have you ever thought that our ship was the Titanic!"

I can hear this being read alive at some open mike. It conveys emotion in all its strangeness, every person like their own planet with their own language, the language of their thoughts and feelings. Thank you

I like it. It very much comes from a place most can find within. While reading it, I could hear it read, very nice.

I also identify with some poems feeling as if they are our little children. They have a special significance to the author. I like how you closed the poem.

Thank you TR, there actually is music that originally went with this one.

And big thanks to you rebekahELLE, I know you are a contest commentator this time. It means a lot even to get your input, commentary and encouragement. ;-)
