Beyond The Sky
Beyond The Sky
By Tony DeLorger © 2014
Imbued with the light of distant stars,
my eyes wonder the night,
the endless patterns of the universe so vast,
I can barely discern the depth of the reality, the infinity,
and my pensive gaze is lost in thoughts,
drifting like clouds over earthly dreams,
so far removed from the logic of human reason,
and I ponder the mysteries, the secrets held,
for man to discover in time and space,
but for now, satisfied with just the beauty,
the complexity of the relentless unfolding of life.
How often I lose myself in this open sky,
this expectancy of knowledge to one day embrace,
and what miracles we will behold in our wildest dreams,
our imagination merely a scratch of these distant realities,
truths yet to understand,
and I am elated, overwhelmed and in awe of the possibilities,
the whispers that will one day grace our ears,
and minds to stretch to new extremities, new boundaries,
in this evolution of limitless life,
born of the stars, without bounds,
filled with purpose.
