Blend Of Words (poem)

Delight

The sight

Of words

In flight

-

Like birds

These words

Confound

In herds

-

It’s not mere sound

Or thoughts unwound

That draws us in

To what there found

-

A simple spin

A sigh a grin

That takes me where

A dream has been

-

It’s there

To share

Insight

With flare

-

Ignite

A light

To heat

Our sight

-

Then there’s a beat

An added treat

A special home

The heart’s retreat

-

We look we comb

We let dreams roam

Delightful tune

A hidden tome

-

And soon

Our moon

Descends

A dune

-

Thus ends

My friends

These blends

Of words

Well, that was wonderful. Certainly enjoyed your poem. Never saw a song sung and acted so dramatically! Pretty song.

Beautiful poem, loved the way you blended your words.

Magnificent well written poem. Smooth flowing rhymes, and good taste. I am not the expert, but a poem good enough for library readers. GBY.

Great poem, M. How in the world did you get them to flow so well and still rhyme? I guess that's why I'm not a poet and I know it (sorry). One last comment - the Bee Gees do that song a lot better, but that's just my opinion. lol Voted up!
