Bubblews Review - Revenue Sharing Site For Writing

Post Content and Make Money

Bubblews is a newer revenue sharing site where you can write and post content to earn money and get backlinks. I joined the site recently (November 2012), posted three short articles and earned $1.49 so far. I was very surprised to see my earnings accumulate so quickly, shortly after posting each article. I have spent very little time using the site.

Earnings on Bubblews are based on page views, like the Hubpages ad program, but there are additional factors that impact earnings including article "likes", comments and connecting with friends.

You can redeem your earnings via PayPal after you've earned at least $25, which isn't too bad considering Hubpages requires $50 and Adsense requires $100.

Posting an article on Bubblews is very simple. You can add a photo and also links within the article leading to your blog to get backlinks. I have no idea if the backlink is do-follow or not. The site is very new so the link power is probably weak, but it's still a good way to send extra traffic to your own site. Although the site is new, there's already a large member base. After I post an article, it gets instant page views and "likes" within the hour. The earnings begin to add up rather quickly.

Is Bubblews the Next eHow?

The original eHow revenue sharing program is long gone, but at one time, it was one of the best paid writing programs on the Internet and it didn't require a ton of article writing to make money every month. Bubblews might have the same earning potential, but it does seem like it might require more social activity to make money.

I did a little research before joining and found payment proofs so I know Bubblews isn't a scam. I also read forum comments and income reports in blogs and found at least one member earning $500 per month from the site. I know there are other members earning $100 to $200 per month.

The fact that you can earn a couple bucks with minimal effort is attractive. I do plan to write more articles there to see what happens, but I'm curious if the earnings are truly passive or stop when you don't use the site for a few days. The one thing I've noticed about the Hubpages ad program is that I continue to earn money even when I don't use the site for a while.

Spam and Quality Concerns

Bubblews gives you the freedom to post links within your article, and as you can imagine, that's opened the flood gate for spamming. When you add a link to your post, it's the actual link that shows, not an anchor text hyper link. If you look at some of the content on the site, you'll see tons of spammy referral links and garbage. It is to my understanding that they're making an effort to clean it up and prevent it from happening.

Follow the terms of service and don't spam otherwise your account could be closed or you might not be able to get paid when you reach the $25 threshold. I have included links in my articles, but only blog links that lead to further information, not directly to a sales page. You're also only allowed to submit 10 posts per day.

The spam makes me wonder if Bubblews will endure the long term quality standards and updates that are constantly taking place with Google. It does seem like a cool site though. Have you ever used Bubblews? Please leave your comments.

Hi Lisa,

I think it's a newer site that started earlier this year. So far it's better than some of the other rev share sites I've used in the past. Thanks for the comment.

I've been on there a few months now and have earned close to $8 and I don't post a lot either. But I have noticed that if you go a few days without posting that you don't really earn so I don't really consider it passive. (But that's just my experience, it might be more passive for someone else). It is a pretty cool site though.

Kristy,

Thanks for commenting. It's crazy how fast the earnings grow. My Bubblews earnings aren't very passive either, at least so far. I get page views right after publication then not much after, but then again I'm not leaving comments or interacting a lot with the site yet. If it's like WebAnswers, where you have to constantly be active every day to make money, I probably won't contribute much except for the purpose of backlinking my blog. It is a cool site though.

Bubblews is a great site. I've cashed out well over $300 in the few months I've been there.

That's awesome. Thanks for sharing. Maybe I'll post more content there. Any tips for making money on Bubblews?

Here's what I do, treat it like you would Twitter, except, make it LONGER. Aim for about a paragraph or 2.

Use your big articles for HubPages, and the ones that don't get much traffic you should post on Bubblews, so you would generally earn more.

Thanks for the tip. I made a few posts last night and I earned at least 20 cents for each one, right after submission, but then not much of anything afterwards. Is anyone earning passive income on Bubblews?

Passive income I get on a through of my posts, I earned $2 on one of my posts that was like 1+ month old and never visited it after publication date.

Some of my other articles receive regular views and likes from social bookmarking sites, like StumbleUpon.

I hope to earn more as I grow my article count. I have less than 10 articles right now.

Oh, you sure do earn more, it grows steadily.

I've added more content and noticed my Bubblews earnings do increase passively a little, especially after making hundreds of connections.

Thank you. Start writing and interacting with the site and the money will follow. It isn't much though. It's just a way to make a little extra money. I find that lengthy articles tend to get more page views and get found by people in the search engines easier. Whatever you do, don't connect with other Bubblews members and then leave comments on their profile asking them to connect back. Your account will probably be deleted if you do that. Abuse of the "connect" feature has become a big problem over there. I just write articles and that's it. I don't have time to do all the social sharing and commenting. It's boring and it's too much work for little return.

You are perfectly correct, Matt. By the time I connected to people, they started to flood the notification with their recent postings, etc. Blah, just like Facebook :))

Yeah the notifications thing is a little annoying. I just ignore it.

Good post Matt G. I'm a current bubbler (so to speak) and like it there. Nice job mentioning eHow. I posted there for years before they abandoned their bubblew-like revenue sharing. Good work. Voted up

eHow was the best. I was making several hundred dollars per month from their old rev share program.
