Sick Love Pt. 1

This is a story about a girl and her first love who became a stranger.

Memories can be brought up. Things you don't want to remember. Things that made you who you are. Things that at the time seemed like your world. So alive, so heart wrenching. You're life can change so much. So fast. In an instant.

This is a story about two addicts. A drug addict and a love addict.

She cringed when she saw who he became. Crawling on the floor looking for the last of the cocaine that dropped to the floor. He was getting crazier every day. She was getting farther away from him every single day. To think she once loved this piece of garbage. At least he did her the favor of cheating on her a couple months ago to make the pain lessen.

"The devil is standing next to you Lisa." He said as an evil smile emerged on his face.

"You're the only devil I see." is all I said before I knew it was the end. Those days and nights were so blurry I can't remember most of them. I don't think I even felt anything anymore. I was numb.

What the hell am I still doing with this idiot?", she kept asking herself in her head. "I was so in love before. He was my first boyfriend. We met junior year in high school. I thought we were going to get married. Then he ruined everything.

First love is funny. You really have no idea whet you're getting yourself into. You dive in head first into an ocean of the unknown. I didn't even want to be in love. It just happened. Even if you push it away. It can make you better or worse depending on the situation. This went from good to bad slowly over time but I've should've known he was bad from the start. You can get to be a codependent mess really quickly.

They met through a friend of hers. He was her cousin. They exchanged phone numbers. They didn't meet until three weeks later when she came back from Christmas break. They talked everyday on the phone about everything. He told her everything she wanted to hear. They got to know each other really well. Those nights seemed magical. Talking on the phone until midnight. She would get so excited to hear the phone ring.

Now when she looks at him and his drug addiction it makes her sick. He is a totally different person from who he used to be. Only a shadow of his former self. Where did her love go? He isn't here anymore. Instead he's replaced by this monster. He knew she was going to leave him soon so he asked her to marry her. They were only engaged for two weeks before she broke it off and ended up leaving him for good.

"Remember that day? That day when you left me alone to get your drugs? That day with your friends who were hitting on me? " she asked him with an intense look in her eyes.

He didn't say a word, just looked at her numbly. He was already high. Her heart sank for the last time. All her passion for him whatever little was left had gone at that moment. She saw in his eyes how little he had cared about anything.

"Your friend Mike raped me that night and you weren't there." she said while she started to sob. "You're a monster. You aren't the guy I used to love."

Appropriately dark. This gets more vivid toward the end, where you go from postulates to examples, so that the reader can start sensing the problem; not merely taking her word for it. Interesting dramatic conflict.

there are people out there as well that manipulate others for their own strange reasons it is especially sad and hard when deception is used - the toughest kind of deception creeps like a sloth moving up a branch
