Can You Make Money at Bubblews? Review of My First Week
What is Bubblews?
I'm sure many of you have heard about the site taking online writing by storm: Bubblews. Well, I finally checked it out. After only a day or two, I was hooked. Sound familiar? This nail-biting addiction also happened for me with HubPages about two years ago. It's not a bad thing or a passing thing, as I'm still here.
So what's so special about Bubblews? And why do I plan to bubble around there for a while? I'll give you some details about my first week's experience with writing at Bubblews.
Basics of Bubblews
Basically, posts on Bubblews consist of short interesting posts. Bubblers (yeah, you heard me; that's what we're called) are paid for writing their bubbles (that's right), plus for "like" clicks and comments on their posts.
Writers "connect" with each other, much like "followers" on HubPages. Instead of a "feed," bubblers generally write on each other's profile pages in order to tell them they have connected with them. Or they just might want to leave a personal message.
Benefits of Bubblews for Me
As I mentioned in "Ways to Get Creative Again," Bubblews is giving me an outlet for fun, creative posts. When I don't feel like writing a detailed article or one assigned by someone else with all its stipulations, I can post a quick bubble instead.
I think of it as longer Facebook statuses. Instead of spending time on Facebook, I often post things I'm thinking about on Bubblews--and get paid for it! After all, the post has to be only 400 characters (not words). Adding a photo, as with any article, is always helpful, too.
Did I mention that I am also running into other hubbers on Bubblews? It's fun. It's just another way for all of us to connect, network, and have a good time.

Bubblews Stats for One Week
After one week, from a Sunday to the next Sunday, I posted only eleven bubbles. Many people post up to ten per day, which is the limit for a day. For my week of eleven posts, here were my stats:
- 11 short posts
- 130 plus followers
- just over $10 income for the week
That seems like a good first week for me. Somehow my earnings jumped up to 13 bucks the day after my first week and then over 15 the next day. This is with posting just a short post or two per day, plus commenting on and liking some of my connections' posts.
With any online writing site, writers work hard to build portfolios as well as passive income. At Bubblews, many bubblers cash out for their $25 minimum after just a few days. I do see how quickly the cents and then dollars add up with my just spending a short amount of time per day on the site.
I'll be interested to see how well I do once I add more connections and create more bubbles. With only eleven posts, in just one week, I'm set to earn more in my first month than (especially with the latest drop in views and revenue) at a site I've been giving my sweat and tears for two years now.
I'm going with the flow now, enjoying the ride. Perhaps I'll give a full month's update. And I'll be interested to see where I am with this new, exciting writing site after two years.
If you decide to check out Bubblews, look up VickiLynn! I'll be over there bubbling around.
