A Cat's Prayer

Now I lay me down to sleep,
The king-size bed is soft and deep...
I sleep right in the center groove
My human can hardly move!

I've trapped her legs, she's tucked in tight
And here is where I pass the night
No one disturbs me or dares intrude
Till morning comes and "I want food!"

I sneak up slowly to begin
My nibbles on my human's chin.
She wakes up quickly, I have sharp teeth -
And my claws I will unsheath

For the morning's here and it's time to play
I always seem to get my way.
So thank you Lord for giving me
This human person that I see.

The one who hugs me and holds me tight
And sacrifices her bed at night.

Good collection of sayings. Although I am not a cat lover, there is something fascinating about the species.

Your quotes were quite cute, but i can,t stand cats. I have a neighbor who has eight cats. I put moth balls all around to keep them off my patio cushions. THERE OUGHT TO BE A LAW!!

I agree always. There should be a law. Nobody should be allowed to have that many cats. Everybody has their favorite animal. Thanks for dropping by.

All so true - all so wonderful. Thank you so much. I love how each and every cat has her own very individual personality. And given a chance they are actually quite witty - as long as we let them be cats and not expect them to be human - you know, come down to our level.

Such a fun hub! Rated up of course!

CKG,

Cats rule- I have 2 and a ghost cat-

saw him tonight in fact - very coincidental....he ran from the door behind the sofa- I closed the door and looked for the cat- he needed some meds so I figured he was trapped-I kept the door closed and went into the other room - my boys had been plauing with the cat

I thought I had captured they said for at least 20 minutes....spooky....

BK, cats definately have their own personalities. My favorite quote "In ancient times cats were worshiped as Gods, they have not forgotten than." They have that air of superiority. Thanks for stopping by.

tom, there are people who say that cats are closely bound to the spirit world. Who knows there may be more than one ghost cat around. Spooky....

i read your article to my siamesse cat- who i think just enjoys being petted and spoken to when I read this one he got up off the couch and flopped down so I could pet him - •"I had been told that the training procedure with cats was difficult. It's not. Mine had me trained in two days. ~ Bill Dana." when i was done he hopped back up and I was allowed to continue to read He is a siamesse one of the "more intellegent breeds." Fun Hub-

I'm glad your siamesse approved. I used to have one who had quite an attitude. He was so smart it only took him one day to train me.
