Change Makes Us Feel Good

It Throws My Body and MInd Into A Shock

When we do something for a long time we get use to the same routine

We expect a certain outcome from the same steps

Here is a quick example

When I don't feel good I want to be left alone and sleep

Pull up the covers over my head and hide

Snuggle my head deep in my pillow and just forget life for the moment

Then I thought this is what I did when I was a child

Flashbacks of years ago

Now what if I get up and make the bed

Go and give myself a good shave

Hop in a warm shower

Put on some nice clothes and put those pajamas away

Eat a little something light like cereal

Begin telling my body you have to start feeling better

I am not giving you a choice

My mind controls my body and you have to do what I tell you to do

Make no mistake about it

So even though my head is still groggy

I am up and moving around and thinking things out

I took a walk outside to get the mail

The weather had took a turn for the better

Still very little sun but it feels warmer

So as I change my day and use all my talents

To guide me in the right direction

It wont be long before new thoughts are inspired

Then my creativity will blossom

Come away with me on this adventure

I know it will be awesome

A change can make you feel good or bad or sometimes just not so good, and it depends on the weather as well.

So true.... our mind can control our body!

I hope that you get better soon to have full use of your creativity!

Hi Dream On,

I can relate. My mother would tell me when I wanted to stay in bed on Saturday mornings--- get up and get out into the sunshine and stop moping about. Blow those cobwebs out of your mind. And by the time she finished her wonderful rendition of cheer---I was more than happy to leave her inside.

Great hub.

PurvisBobbi44 Years ago if you wanted to go somewhere my mother would say you have two feet walk.I haven't stopped ever since.I exercise my mind and body.Being resourceful and exercising at the same time. There wasn't someone to call who had a car like today. You were self relient and found a way. There wasn't a cell phone tied to everyones hip.You had to go to a library if you wanted a book.To look up a word you opened the dictionary.I know change is good but I have never seen so many lazy young adults in my life.Wait and see when they change for the better too.Thanx so much for sharingand have a great night.
