Changes On the Pond .......

There are changes taking place
before our eye's it seems
Spring...... balm in the sun warmed color
....in waking was winter just a dream

Offered up from our god as would
have created the pond in the beginning
Therein the melting of the ice....the geese
returning ....the sun is winning

And winter ......no longer the demon
the shaking blizzards are gone
The ice fields on the granite ridges
softly dripping melting along

And just today .....there was a sun too warm
on my covered shoulders
Soon enough the cattails will rush in
and hide the moss covered boulders

God must have known that we would
love the changes
And love it or not .....we cannot alter
his tender arrangement

Like a fresh bouquet of flowers on the table
near the open window never pales
Lilacs perhaps or violets contrast the
trilliums along our forested trails

Yesterday the dogs and I found a
brook babbling loudly....and halted
We listened for awhile to her expressive
chatter ......not one of us even faulted

Spring has arrived even here in
the highest borderlands
Last but never least she always comes
with sharing open hands

All just for you Sunnie Day ! Personally I love fall the most I think, but where would we be without this time of year , of rebirth ,of renewal in all things of beauty. I live in Northern New England and the seasons here are short , distinct and so alive! Glad to see you! Have a great weekend ....and spring.

Autumn in the Midwest is generally the nicest as far as color and weather. Spring used to be a very nice season but it seems to have changed somewhat. Much more unpredictable.

Dahoglund , Nice to see you ! I agree . These years there seems to be so much unpredictability ? The storms ! Are you flooded out there?

It has been sort of odd that we got heavy rains last fall and some flooding, although not serious. Despite lots of snow this winter and much rain this spring I have not noticed much flooding locally.

Dahoglund , the weather here in Vermont is absolutely recordbreaking all winter , through spring ! Lots of snow , and rain , AND the winds alone have been unusual.:-}

I wish I could experience winter and spring. All I get is sun and rain her in Jamrock! I'm jealous.
