Childhood

Intoxicated

By the freedom

Of it all

When sunset came

Laughter

Games

Love blooming

Newness emerging

A carefree freedom

That cannot be escaped

What it once was

Echoes of laughter

Singing in my head

The warmth of the sun

Transforming us

Into who we became

Not many of us online on Sundays, especially Sunday nights. This was a fine Hub that probably would have had more readers, if published on a weekday. I'm glad to see you are still "one of us" here!

Love intoxicated by the freedom.........as it sets up the entire poem........amazing how the ways that we are similar as humans, dwarfs those ways, that we try to be different. I also wrote my Childhood.......Thoughtful here Caroline.
