Chuck the Duck Meets Huck the Buck

Updated on June 8, 2015

Chuck and Huck...

Chuck was a rather odd duck. He often thought he had bad luck.

Chuck did have his share of mishaps. Such as, when he got stuck
in the muck. He wasn't a very quick duck and he rarely had a clue how to get unstuck.

Chuck would tuck his head under the water, hoping that when he became untucked,
he wouldn't be as stuck, but that plan wasn't any luck.

So he would just cluck and cluck, run a muck and wish for better luck.

There were days that Chuck felt like he got struck by a hockey puck. He tended to be a bit of a ruck, in which he followed rather than led. Chuck was in need of a friend with a truck. .

Perhaps, that imaginary hockey puck that struck Chuck, when he forgot to duck, was just what Chuck needed to realize, that he really was a lucky duck.

On one particular warm day when Chuck was again stuck in the muck,
and he couldn't enjoy the sunshine like he preferred,
he thought to himself...I must look like yuck.

Unknown to Chuck a buck was watching him from afar. Chuck was basically a sitting duck.

The buck had a puzzled expression. He wondered if Chuck was possibly a wooden duck.

So the buck quietly snuck up upon Chuck and said, "Hello, my name is Huck and I am a buck, you look like you could use some help to get unstuck." Chuck ruffled his feathers and that is when Huck realized that he was a real duck.

Chuck the duck was amazed at the sight of his new friend, he was absolutely starstruck.

Chuck pondered, Could Huck the buck possibly be the leader that could help lead him out of this muck? He would gladly follow Huck because Chuck was awestruck.

What Chuck didn't know is that Huck was contemplating having Chuck for potluck.

Huck was a strong, sturdy buck, but he could be such a schmuck. He told Chuck as he contemplated his next meal, "All we need to do is a bit of a nip and tuck to remove you from the muck where you are stuck."

Even though he was still a bit dumbstruck at the sight of Huck, Chuck thought maybe he could help him get unstuck from the muck.

"Hi Huck, I'm Chuck as long as you don't pluck
my feathers I'll be happy to follow your orders. Do you have a truck?"

Huck wondered if this duck, Chuck, fell off the turnip truck? Huck took pity on Chuck as he was covered in guck from being stuck in the muck.

"As a matter of fact I do have a pick up truck Chuck, I'll help get you out of the muck
from where you are stuck, you must really feel like yuck."

This is how Chuck and Huck met. Who says a duck and a buck couldn't share a pick up truck?

So afterall, Chuck does have good luck and Huck will not be having Chuck for potluck.
