Clothes Shopping Hell

Clothes Shopping Hell

This is just a little ditty....

Shopping is hell, whether town or city

I share a masculine leaning, not a feminine preening

The man that stands suspended, vacantly staring in store

I sympathise with wholly, soul destroying and then some more

Through gritted teeth, whispers of “I’m bored” slip out

Waiting, standing silently so, no you don’t look fat, no doubt!

Head nods and smiles of hope

Are we going yet? I want to run! Nope!

Purgatory is painfully slow, clothes, clothes and more shoes

I mustn’t wander, or me you might lose

For me as a female I can wander the aisles

The man down the lingerie aisle brings a few smiles

Lost and alone, he stands to attention, like a cubicle guard

Laden heavy with bags, he wonders why is it so hard?

The dress that she got was the first one she tried

So why in hell did we have to go through all this, he silently cries!

Two hours of waiting, could have been better spent

With the tv, or gym, maybe a beer or two, is his lament

The end is in sight, she is heading for the cash till

He sighs with relief inside, until he pays the bill

It was all worth it, she is happy and smiling

Next time don’t ask me, I’ll be busy with a Carling!

Very good. I've noticed this scene many times. How true. Men hate to shop.

Oh I feel ya. I hate to shop really. That's why I got addicted to the home shopping network. LOL. I just hate walking around looking at everything and trying things on. I suppose I am not a normal woman. I hate talking on the telephone too. LOL.
