Color- Blind

My world is colorblind.

We can see the colors around us, but certain colors just don't matter to me,

Skin color doesn't matter in my world because my world is colorblind,

They sing about it in songs on the radio,

We are reminded every Martin Luther King Jr. day of a man who stood up in front of a colorful nation and fought to blend the colors together.

Why some people still see color I really do not know?

All I know is that in my world everyone is colorblind because colors do not matter.

In the present color should never matter,

I can't see skin color because it just does not matter to me!

I like this short poem and your mindset. I am glad you are the person you are. I am proud of the person you are and will continue to be.
