Come Walk With Me (a poem)
Come
Walk with me
Where the wildflowers bloom
and the water so quiescent
Reflecting out the hazy dawn
Come
Walk with me
Where dandelion seeds flying
and dream bubbles
floating above the fear
Come
Walk with me
When the heavy rain falls
From burdened clouds of mournful grey
And our skin wrung wet with icy chill
Come
Step with me on the honey, the bog and the rusty nail
No time to waste
On dillydally
Or to look back in anger
All of us we had it once :
We cried ,
We tore letters and
We thought we couldnt carry on
But a strength within
No matter how long it takes to emerge
Gets us back on the track.
Come
My dear
It is no use to stir cauldron
Or to rip all petals off flowers
My love truly madly too deep for you
Trust me,
Lean on me
I am a wall,
A bulwark never fails
And a spiritual project
Worthy to invest on
Come..
We are old
Each day we lose strength
and we get more closer to the grave
I call you
To join
And save what is left of us,
Crests from thundering seas
May surge up,great and tall
Biting at the sky
And our boat may creak
And sway to sides
Almost overturned
But together
As a team
With oars ahead
Splashing the water
In one rhythm
And breath,
We can reach a safe harbor
Come
Lie beside me
Now
On the grass
Right here
Beneath the irresistible sky
Before the days grow shorter
And the nights fall so suddenly
My soul is a green lantern
But never a turning leaf
No time,my dear, to waste
on dillydally
Point out the constellations
You wish to fly to
I will take you there.
