Come .....come to my desert.........

Maybe ...just maybe we are all natives to the deserts
Who say's it belongs to who anyway ,
and peace with
serene visions as well
No...... its all ours to share
Maybe I have found something there
Of which I will borrow......
the native flute music
and the bright morning
sun
The awesome light of
morning painting
the rock veins in reds
browns and unnamed
colors of the palate
The birds .......and wildlife
the coyotes in the dusk
And a wind that's strong
enough to carry us all ........
Come with me .....
here's my hand
The rocky rims we
can walk untill we can walk
no more
spires of hardened time
You .... Me and all the time
in the world
I will teach you well
of serenity
of peace
of us....
Yes , a blanket ...the sun
the desert
and you......

Cold winds are starting to blow and the Yankees are going into "survive the winter mode". I lived in New Hampshire for a couple of years. I know the drill. Excellent escape.

Imagine what it must have been like to walk this land when it was untouched, virgin, and pristine.

Finding a flint spearhead, or a shard of ancient pottery, thousands of years old, is a direct connection to the ghosts who walked this land so long ago.

Very nice, ahorseback!
