Constructing Chaos

Grown men justified

To cry

Liberation sought

Partaking, surely of

Adult life

Paying dues, all in

Good time

Captivity born, bound

By lies

Captivated, always by

Her smile

No choice left

Resort to crime

Sentence served

Stay awhile

Evading the truth

In denial

Endless mazes

Downward spirals

Slit wrist savior

Let it all fade

We all must fall

To rise

To fight

To die

Needing saving

Pressing on

Decayed by time

Rivers run

Clouds explode

Unleashing cleansing

To wash us away

In the current

Of shattered minds

Broken vessels

Fear remains

Death awaits

Starving flames

In risks we take

In chance…

We trust

In God…

We fail

In freedom…

We rot

In justice…

We judge

All is nothing

But it’s

All we’ve got

You are everything

You believed

You could be

We are nothing

But empty things, dreamed

Only defending

What truths we’ve been fed

When truths become lies,

We join with the dead

To dance

To rest

To fly

To waste

Becoming part of this earth

Just a part of this place

Human beings...if we aren't the best at perfecting chaos. Deep thinking, Ben!

I love everything you write and this one is no different. We all will have our time to leave this place and will only be a memory then becoming one with the earth.

"All is nothing, but its all we've got" Love that line. Love this poem. I never really know what to say here because its just that good.

That was poetic greatness.

Eerily true and creepily said, sleep will not come when I put pillow to head, I fear for the thoughts that have been told, my mind will want to recoil then unfold. I am sunk by your battleship, dipped deep in the abyss, I cannot foresee the results of my reading this. I wish you good night, and well to keep writing, I'll await eagerly your next sighting. Always a pleasure never a joke, I always think deeply for words that you wrote.

A very powerful hub...might be simple but carries a deeper meaning if you take some time to reflect on them.

Keep up the good work.

I'm an agent of chaos so this caught my eye.

Gar, who goes there! ;)
