Country Lyrics: "Learning To Fall"

Its been a hell of a week

I just lost my job

I was only a month away

From everything I want

I have worked so hard

As much as I was able

To provide shelter for my family

To put food on the table

Even though I've been pushed back

I will be there to get back on track

CHORUS

Cause I get knocked down

And get pushed around

I dust myself off

And rise from the ground

I know I can't win them all

Sometimes we have to crawl

We learn how to climb

After learning to fall

We tend to overlook

The important things

Like family and friends

Instead of diamonds and rings

We should be thanking the Lord

For each and every day

That we take for granted

Along the way

Life goes by to fast

Don't let it pass

You just never know

When it may be your last

CHORUS

Even though I get knocked down

And get pushed around

I dust myself off

And rise from the ground

I know I can't win them all

Sometimes we have to crawl

We learn how to climb

By learning to fall

Anytime you need some help

Just give me a call

Cause we're all trying

To learn from the fall

CHROUS

You may get knocked down

You may get pushed around

Just dust yourself off

Pick yourself up off the ground

Understand my friend

We can't win them all

We learn how to climb

When we learn how to fall

ABOUT THE SONG...

This song was wrote a few years back when I lost an important job. We all go through highs and lows over the course of our life. Sometimes we get things right and everything else seems to fall right in place. And sometimes, life is hard and everything seems to be out of place. But the truth of the matter, this is when we learn valuable lessons and learn from our mistakes. And by doing so, we can do our best to make sure it doesn't happen again. Most of my lyrics are inspirational songs from real life feelings and events. No matter where we are in life, we can always change and change begins inside of you. And if you give your life to the Lord, he will give his to yours. Thank you all for your support. I have been very busy lately and I haven't been able to visit many people. On top of that, I have been sick as well for the past two weeks. I am off tomorrow and I will see you all then. God Bless you all and thanks for your friendship. Best wishes.

Hi Ricky, when I started reading this I wondered if it had been written during your 'down' times...

I'm sorry to hear you have been sick and wish you a speedy recovery. I love the song, voted up.

My best wishes to you, MM

Hey there MM. You are right, this was written when I lost my job and the downturn began. I had got back on my feet, a few months after I first found an apartment. Then, I ended up losing my job. I feared the worse when I wrote this, but I soon found out that everything happens for a reason. Thanks, I am feeling better then I did, almost recovered. Best wishes MM.

Hopefully by now you are feeling better? You are so right in that few people escape this world without trials of some sort be it job loss, illness or other problems. Most people who believe in any type of religion believe that this earthly life of ours is merely a stepping stone (and hopefully a learning opportunity) to earn a better place in the next life.

Voted up!

Hi Ricky,

I am glad I found this one from long before I joined HP. The lyrics are so full of truth dear one. Life is so very hard and can be so very brutal, and I am so glad you perservered. I, too, have been through many trials throughout my life, and each one of them has made me into the person I am today. I love your very thought-provoking words you have written down after the lyrics. You are very wise and gifted. God Bless. Voted Way Up In His Love, Faith Reaper

Thank you all so much for the comments. Lyric writing is where I received the nickname. I have more passion for it then tattoos, hard to believe, but true. I just wish someone would notice that talent. I never post my great songs cause I don't want them used.
