Crazy Fairy Tales (poem)

Let’s put aside those crazy fairy tales

And live our lives within reality

There are no silver linings to our sails

We do not travel on a crystal sea

So cast aside their dreams stored in your head

For in the end will they explain the pain

Or try to reason with the tears we shed

Their dust for us is grounded by the rain

It’s time to leave our childish world behind

And build our future on a sounder ground

Where sails of gold will come to see us through

Let’s take this boring life and be resigned

To face our truth and make our ground resound

By teaching fairies what we pixies do

I love the surprise ending, Martin. I thought this was leading to giving up on dreams and was pleasantly surprised!

Hi Dear Mh,

I wasn't on HP last evening, so I missed this one.

My first reaction while still reading was ...WHAT? Then WHEW!

Yes, I am all for not giving up on dreams, for we are still breathing and still here for some reason, and I think that is to love one another in this life until we take our last breath on this earth.

It was so true until the last paragraph with "pixie" in it. I almost fell for it. Other than that it was beautiful from beginning to end. I shared and pinned it.
