Cruella Rocks

Time had passed

When Cruella De Vil

Was really the Devil in disguise

She had chased Dalmatians

All over the English countryside

Wanting to make fur coats out of them

The dogs were all rescued

And Perdita and Pongo

The Dalmatian mom and dad

Got back their fifteen pups

Their humans Roger and Anita

Saved the rest of the Dalmatians

And they now altogether had one hundred and one

Cruella wound up spending time in an asylum

It was a wild and crazy time in London

Roger and Anita what could they do

Roger’s song about Cruella

Became a smash hit

And in the countryside

They set up their Dalmatian Farm

Things had gone real well

Rodger had become quite a composer

The Dalmatian Farm

Had become popular

It was the place tourists wanted to see

It was the place people went to adopt pups

There always seemed to be more Dalmatians everywhere

Rodger and Anita had a son and daughter

Annie who was five and Dale who was eight

Had the life most kids dream about

Plenty of dogs to run and play with

Perdita and Pongo’s pups of course all now grown

Had had pups of their own

And anytime a lost Dalmatian was found

Off to the Dalmatian Farm he’d go

Life was jolly, life was good

Dalmatians had become the most popular breed

To have in London and all around

Then one quiet weekday morning

Roger’s radio alarm blasted off

Having been set too loud

At first just a lot of noise seemed to be coming out

Then it was first Pongo that turned his ear to listen

He whispered to his mate,”Perdita it’s her!”

Opening one sleepy eye,”Who?”

Then Perdita jumped up as well.

Together they looked at one another

For sure the devil woman had returned

There she was on the radio

Making some terrible noise

The dogs nudged Roger

Who could sleep through a bombing

While Anita sat up heart pounding

Annie and Dale sleepy eyed and looking confused

Ran into the room

Roger took care of all of that noise

And bashed down the button on the radio

He looked at Anita and scratched his head

”Anita do you think it was Cruella rocking on the radio?”

Anita wide-eyed just nodded

Of that there was no doubt

She’d never forget Cruella’s vicious voice

Roger had to drive to London that day

So he said he’d find out what it was all about

As he drove into London

There was no doubt

Cruella as black and white and horrid as ever

Her picture across billboards

The newest rocking sensation

The worst thing was it wasn’t just a flash in the pan

She’d found a singing style

Which all the teens in London loved

They didn’t care who sang the tunes

That night Roger and Anita

Sat talking about what it may all mean

Pong and Perdita hung on every word

It was a matter of waiting

Cruella was a sheer delight

All in black and white

Crazy make-up, crazy hair

Belting out songs the teens wanted to hear

One would think that the London Bridge

Would begin to rock along

And Big Ben to chime in tune

It brought more fame

To the Dalmatian Farm

As people having heard about Cruella’s crimes

Came to see the famous Dalmatians

By the time Cruella’s second concert came round

Dalmatian pups began to disappear from the farm

She was a rockin’ and a stealin’

Havin’ a grand ole’ time

The police said give them proof

She’s a rockin’ star sensation

This time it was Roger and Anita

Along with Pongo and Perdita

Leaving the farm in the workers capable hands

All headed out to the De Vil Estate

Figuring the place was haunted and falling apart

It wouldn’t take long to find the pups

Getting the proof the police wanted

Oh, what a surprise they had

Hell Hall wasn’t what it had been once at all

Cruella seeing them arrive

Peering out in glee

It was Cruella’s Rock and Roll Club

They did see

Little did they know

As splendid as it all looked

Down in the cellar

Pups were stuffed in cages

Horror was afoot

And Cruella didn’t care

Finally her fur dream would become real

Roger and Anita seemed to be beat

Once again Pongo and Perdita

Took it upon themselves

They’d beat that devil woman

Once and for all for sure

That night Pongo and Perdita

Went back to the barn

Where they first got help

In saving their very own pups

The old Colonel well he was gone

But the horse and Tibbs the cat were there

By now getting on in years

The Colonel had left behind a grandson

And he was ready to help

The Major took over right away

There was plenty of distraction

As the club rocked and reeled

And Cruella played hostess

Tibbs found a way in

And slunk around until he found

A dark passage way leading down below

There he saw three men

Playing cards waiting for orders

Dalmatian pups trembling in cages

He raced back to report to the others

Pongo had a thought an evil thought

If they could attract attention in the club above

They’d lead people down to where the pups were

And so all the animals including the old horse

Stormed past the startled door guards

Into the club they ran

Just as Cruella was about to rock

Seeing Pongo and Perdita

Cruella narrowed her eyes

She shouted for the guards to throw the animals out

Wrong thing said

And animal activists in the club

Shouted for the guards to stand back

As these things go

A fight broke out

When the police arrived

There was no time for the animals

To show the way to the cellar

Cruella was getting away

The Dalmatian pups had been loaded

In a large truck the men ready to go

Cruella after them in her sports car

Tibbs, the Major and the horse stayed behind

While Pongo and Perdita

Gave chase

They jumped in behind Cruella

Who was so incensed she didn’t notice them

To London they sped

When the big truck stopped at a factory

Getting out of the car

The dogs jumped Cruella

She managed to break away

And they gave chase

In the meanwhile the barn animals

Had let out an alarm

Pong and Perdita’s now grown pups

Were heading to London to help

Amidst all the ruckus

The police were aroused

By concerned citizens

Dogs were chasing Cruella all over town

They all raced in from all different sides

Cruella was trapped in the middle of Trafalgar Square

The police screeched to a halt

By now she was babbling

That she’d never get a Dalmatian fur coat

When the dust had settled

The Declamation pups were saved

Roger had written a hit song

About the crazy rock queen

The Dalmatian Farm was as popular as ever

Dalmatians were the top breed in London

Cruella was locked up in a remote asylum

It was of no worry to her

For ever day that passed

Cruella would continue to rock

I was sure you were going to say Cruella had become Lady GaGa.

Another great job in bringing life to a story passed. I can't wait to see what you do with the Jungle Book!

A very fav movie and your poem just took me to the scenes there. Well done Gypsy.......nice hub and you so simply presented though it is not so simple to wrap in a poetic rhythm and you are just awesome there. all my votes.

Good job, as usual. Unfortunately you are too good of a person to do evil justice to Cruella

So refreshing and vivid! You are getting better Rasma. Might sound cliche, but it's truth. Way to go! Love that Cruella for some reason...in a positive way of course!

So glad you enjoyed this Ann and thanks for the vote. You know what it is actually I'm not sure how to get my work registered and patented here. Cause of course before I considered approaching anyone that would be the way to begin. In the states it would be easier. I'll look online.

I'm relieved that all's well that ends well, Gypsy. I always thought Cruella and The Ice Queen were the scariest of all the villains. I saw the most adorable story on the news yesterday with a video that showed a black and white spotted lamb that was orphaned. The owner of the farm had a large number of dalmations that he kept with him on the farm. Two of the damations think the little spotted lamb is their baby! They groom and cuddle and protect that sweet little baby. It was so heartwarming and I couldn't help but think of it as I read your up-to-the-minute on a dalmations worst nightmare, the now institutionalized Cruella. Great read, vividly told tale, Gypsy, and I love the pictures, too.

I'm on Cruella's side when it comes to having animals indoors, in stores, etc. I am allergic to animals and usually will end up having asthma trouble when animals are around. I don't at all understand why stores want to be 'pet friendly'. I've been trying to get the management at my local bookstore to discontinue their policy of allowing dogs in the store (Service animals excepted). Really is making me angry that they would choose to have animals running around the store when there are many people who have allergies/ asthma. Very inconsiderate.

Well that is a problem That Grrl as you know most everyone loves the furry critters. I sympathize though if you have such bad allergies you shouldn't be subjected to them. So you're right to protest since it's for your own health.
