Among these desolate hills
The grass grows tall and still
As the wind seems all but gone
I forever sit alone.
Sometimes I run
With hope so nigh
But when the day is done
It's just me, myself, and I.
The night sky takes over the day
My crimson hair falls over my eyes
As I begin to lay
The moon takes over the skies.
The hourglass is like a ticking clock
As the sand pours I grow weak.
A cracked stone, a brittle rock
With muffled words to speak.
Love, oh where are you?
Did I really break your heart
So much that you'd disappear
With out giving me a new start?
And what of the joy I once felt
Where have you gone?
To sit alone.
