Cursed Poetry by Ashley Pentycofe
Cursed I look at you and see the sweetness
When other just see your poison I look at you and see your intentions
When other just see your failures I look at you and see the lack
When others just see your greed
Now I see what they see
Now you show who you chose to be
You have given up on the good
Taken the easy road Leaving behind the path with real potential
Looking at you with anger I still see the potential fading with each step
You toss it away like yesterday's trash
I am cursed As I stuck up for you
Others pushed you down I helped you to your feet
Still I see the light in your dark eyes
Still I am cursed with the hope
The hope of you turning back for the just life
