"Dancing With You"

Inspired by:

"And when the music softly fades into a vivid mood, and the rhythm is set into motion, behind those eyes a fire is formed, and inside my mind, an image, a notion, born into completion. Now, only movement, and swing, and swaying between us remains, and our senses will please us."

"Dancing With You"

We danced the night away,
two hearts beating as one.
Your body so close to mine,
If this is a dream,
no body wake me up.

The music so soft,
your breath so sweet.
I fell into your groove,
matching the rhythm of your feet.

There's nothing better than this,
than to feel your lips as we kiss,
while dancing with you,
I have reached pure bliss.

But this moment will soon have to end.
This memory too shall fade,
for now I am dancing alone,
while you rot in your grave.

Ah, Death. Such a fine dancer, but a real stick in the mud when it comes to long-term relationships!

Hi Nikki.

I don't think the end would matter after having danced the night away with you. Just dreaming Nikki.

Take care and have a nice waltz.

LOL Ghaelach

As was said above, haunting imagery - and the picture you chose perfectly complimented the mood of your piece.

This is so sexy. Though it's a bit necrophiliac.. Reminds me of a rock song shared by my ex lol The lady wears a seductive red gown just like from that photo. The guy was vampir-ish

lol thanks blaise. hmm..necrophiliac is just creepy when you put it like that. vampires and such are technically more alive cuz they still move around and talk and stuff whereas necrophilia is more like with a lifeless dead corpse and thats just nasty...lol

this poem is more about a memory and a time that has ended and passed away. more than the person actually being dead. perhaps dead to me...
