Thank you, wetnosedogs! I like all kinds of poems when I'm reading them, but somehow the simple meaningful ones are the ones that stick in my head and still mean the most to me a week or year later. Have a great evening! Thanks for commenting!

Good morning, Sunny River just north of Reality! Thank you so much for commenting on my little haiku. Every once in awhile something will just get under my skin and I know it will come out through writing, like my appreciation for the lovely start to each new day in this little poem.

This poem describes perfectly the coming of dawn in so few words. Well done Laura.

Thanks! I'm trying to decide if I should confess how long ago I wrote that or let it stand as-is. Your thoughts, everyone?

I see the first comment was 11 months ago, so I guess it's older than that, but I have just found you so it doesn't matter.

Haha okay, then I shall keep my secret, at least for now.
