Day 4: 10 Day Poetry Challenge: Desperate

Consumed
Consumed

Forbidden love

Consumed by the details, I anticipate your touch.

Close my eyes as razor blade tears cascade down my cheeks.

I weep.

For his whisper of love is just nothing but words.

Sounds, syllables, just shapes on a page.

Will you present me with all your days?

Or just days like this where I experience your kiss for a fleeting moment?

Then you disappear from here.

Retreat.
