Death be as cruel as you can .....

It knocks on the door of a hundred or more
and does that all at one time
Then rips and tears the hearts
the soul and leaves but
the broken mind

Death...... let me just say..... you have not
one thing of which to be proud
I have heard the bloody curses
spoken silent and screamed out
loud

Arriving as quick as a summer storm
and leave silence that fills the abyss
Not one chance for last goodbye no
embrace or farewell kiss

One day I will have my say ........God may
ask what I think of death
And then he will know how much I despise
and let him do the rest

In the darkest hours of night you
answered not a childs requests
I knew not then of answers
of the bible
or of satans
conquests

And I know its not fair
that I should
ask though ....not one answer of thee
If you would or must take my life too
then all mysteries will
lay free

No death....... go on...... have your
say ...... let it all but be true
One day my wicked enemy
I will have my way with you

We masons have a different view of death. But that aside, this is a moving poem. Thank you

Ed!! How passionate!

But I have to ask: What's happening? So many hubfriends seem to be obsessing with death. Is it related to autumn's & winter's arrivals in "the frozen north", as Mother used to call where she grew up? Is there a pact in place? Too many gruesome movies and TV shows? :-I

This made me think about my two sisters who have passed away. The hurt still stings. I guess someday we will understand. Touching thoughts...Enjoyed..

Voted up and awesome. This is incredible we shall all have our moment of victory in the world beyond. Just made me think of these words "and death held sway over all..." Forgot where they come from but it shall not. Passing this on.

The thought of dying can be depressing, even terrifying, but after that there is so much to hope for, to look forward to: the bliss of eternal life with the Father. You express your thoughts so well. Voted up.
