Defying Death While At The Movies

Author's Note: I know that I stated a while back that I would no longer publish anymore poetry on this site, I decided to make an exception for this piece.

Defying Death While At The Movies

Our futures now

Lie in the movies

For all younger generations content falls into the gloss of advertisements

Before each show.

The cutting room floor is where our time grows shorter

And pushes use closer

To being nameless in Potters Field.

That’s why I dig Japanese films

Where in three and a half hours

We are all immortal

And there are never after hour bars being raided by the NYPD.

Why did you decide to no longer post poetry here? This is a great piece, I want to read more! :-)

I'm looking to put most of my latest pieces into my fourth book, including this one. Also was trying to sell work to magazines. Thanks for the kind words though.

Ah I see, that's absolutely fair enough. Good luck in your endeavours!
