Demand to make Shopping Malls Adult Space Hopper Friendly

Protest on Your Space Hopper!

A spate of protests will be held in Shopping Malls and Shopping Centres all over the world.  Protesters will gather at their local centres or malls at noon (local times) on Friday 1st May 2009 and immediately begin to pump up their space-hoppers.  As soon as the hoppers are fully blown, protesters will mount and hop off.  It is planned to hop for ten minutes.

There should be a space hopping lane at least” demanded one frustrated adult space hopper.

Why should kids get play areas and facilities for their stupid skate-boards while us adults – who pay more tax than them – have nowhere to hop?” chipped in another disgruntled citizen.

The protests in some areas could be massive.  Many adults received gifts of Adult Space Hoppers (now readily available with substantial discounts offered by some suppliers for multi-purchases) only to find there were few (if any) venues open to them to hop.

So far protests have been planned in

  • San Francisco
  • New York
  • London
  • Chicago
  • Mexico City
  • Paris
  • Milan
  • Geneva
  • Monaco
  • Brussels
  • The Hague
  • Oviedo (Sp)
  • Amsterdam
  • Birmingham, USA
  • Tenerife
  • Birmingham, UK
  • Miami
  • Liverpool
  • Lanzarote
  • The Royal Borough of Sutton Coldfield
  • Perth
  • Moscow
  • Sydney

There is no central website looking after the protest – people just have to turn up with space hoppers and pumps and be fit and ready to space- hop for anythinh from 20 minutes up to eight hours.

If you are organising one of these protests please add some details of the shopping centre or mall you will be hopping at on Friday 1st May 2009 in the comments section below:
