Desperate Times...a peom
By Tony DeLorger © 2013
In desperation a prayer to omniscience,
to guide the pleas of a mere mortal,
and to find peace in the unfolding of more desired outcomes,
and the release of the burden of human reason.
However circumstances seem, they are temporary,
and no matter the excruciation of inadequacy,
resolution is a natural cause and end,
its ensuing play without our concerns.
We are but the litmus, the indicator of fortitude,
always in flux within the burden of human frailty,
and beyond the crust of strength, true of imagined,
we vie for the better part of fortune.
In desperate times we lose equilibrium,
panic and confusion the tethering of stability,
and we, in this state, bleed for common sense,
and a saviour to wrench us from the pits of hell.
But hell is the perception of a limited mind,
unable to bend with the winds of life,
yet with foresight, one can overcome this visceral vision,
and know with certainty that fear as with circumstance, will pass.
The other side of disharmony, is harmony,
and with hope the understanding of both.
