Dialation in poetry

What haven't I learned in writing
what haven't I felt
and all truly so self taught
euphoria
pain
anger
joy

An insatiable soul dives fully
into itself and opens it's eye's under
this ocean of emotion
but what have I seen
if not simply more
to come ?

If not the insatiable
the abysmal depths of one and the
same ocean turned over and over in
tidal storms
yet do I grow tired
of seeing
or see how tired
the words themselves grow

And yet I write onward to more with eye's wide open

An amazing poem. Until I tried creative writing I had no idea about the emotions it takes you through. This says it all about that.

Anyone who writes out of passion that stirs at the core of their being will recognize what you are expressing here. Thanks for putting into words what many of us feel and experience daily.

Wow Ed-this is one of the best poems I have read from you. I am in total agreement that writing is all about opening the floodgates of our emotions. I also believe that the act of writing brings us healing and helps us through ups and downs in life. I am living fully again after I started writing again after many years of setting it aside. Thanks for sharing this great poem with your writer friends that can relate to this. Hope all is well my friend.

- to more...

with eyes wide open.

Thank goodness for your open eyes… observing, revealing, leading us to apparently obscure truths.

Voted up and awesome. A most poetic and creative expression of emotion.
