Do You Feel It Too?

COLD WIND

There is this cold wind

blowing in my hair

making the leaves fall down

just like cold, white snowflakes

on a cloudy winter day

Do you feel it too

as you lay beside her

instead of me

now that I'm gone

and she's your love?

Yes, you do

And it's me

blowing this wind

straight through your body it goes

and it's aching

inside of you

Your aching

is an echo

of the aching

in my heart

since you left

WARM SUNSHINE

There is this warm sunshine

shining down on me

making my hair bright

just like the beautiful sunrise

on a warm summer morning

Do you feel it too

as you lay beside her

instead of me

now that I'm gone

and she's your love?

Yes, you do

And it's me

shining on you

straight in your face it goes

and it's caressing

your skin

The caressing

is an echo

of the caressing

you did on my skin

when there was me and you

Beautiful Made! You did a wonderful job of capturing the memories, the longing, the regret and the things left unspoken. Great job my friend!

Oh, that cold, heavy pain in one's heart when the one you love leave you for any selfish reason, is almost unbearable. I still cry when I remember, feeling sorry for myself... no, for that naive woman I was. I was so terribly disappointed and lost.

This is a beautiful (duel) poem, Made. But you know what, I would have split the two 'movements'. Each one belongs in its own hub. Because the second one actually cancel the impact of the first one, and therefor it does not come to its full right.

MartieCoetser, thank you for commenting. I know what you mean. It could pass many, many years between these two 'movements'. The first one would be about the feelings right after the loss of the one you love, and the second one many years later. I felt like something was missing in the poem. I wanted a third part that could explain the other two parts, but I never figured out how to solve the problem. Maybe I need to split it into two hubs. I'm not sure yet what to do. Thank you! :)

I enjoyed the spectrum of cold to warm in these poems. A pleasure to read.

Cheers~

This is beautifully written and elegantly expressive - I love the metaphorical excursion of the seasonal changes with the hearts emotion. While Martie may be right about the two hubs , I personally liked them on the same pages. Perhaps you could write another two capturing spring and fall? Voted up/ beautiful of course!

Hi Docmo, I really appreciate your opinion. I have to think about it. Adding spring and fall could be more connective and make the poem more complete. Thank you for voting! :)

Oh man, the wintry part made me feel cold and the sunshine part made me feel warm. Beautiful poetry - so much is said in these words. Love, loss, regret, hope, and even healing. Great job!

What a beautiful poem, every line felt really yearning, for the past, for the ex partner, knowing that somewhere in his mind, he was remembering you too. Wonderful!

Very powerful use of refrain coming out here! A strong way to remind some one indeed!

Great poetry!

Thank you Nell Rose. The yearning was what I wanted this poem to be about. And also that you can accept a loss after some time and say "we're cool now" with a warm sunshine.

Made and Martie....Hello, Ladies....Yes, I read ALL comments when I read a Hub...I feel it's all part of the process.

May I butt in and say something regarding the exchange between you 2 marvelous poets?

I want to share the journey and the image that was mine as I read this beautiful work.......

I understand why you suggested what you did Martie, and since I'm not a poet...(just beginning to learn to appreciate it)....I'm really just sharing my thoughts with you both.

The emotional words spoken by the woman in this poem, are beautiful and perfect as they are......because, as I recall one of several devastations in love.....it was quite natural and real to feel both....vengence & passion toward the man of your sadness.....I hate you....I miss you .....I love you.....I hate you ....I'm lost without....I want you to feel pain......I want you to think of me....remember me beside you.........

This is what I got.....and it was so very familiar to me.

What do you ladies say to this?
