Don't Say A Word

You said you will never let me cry again

And you broke that promise again and again

And now you move on with your life as we never were

And you play the “end note” so easily as if it was all fair

Yet you signed the petition and said it was done long time ago

And now you have a world of you own that rotates around Margo

And so all the promises fade like a rose petal which loses its hue

And so many words so sweet, yet actions are always few

And while walking on the bridges of flame I see

That you have chosen this road to flee

You put the blame on me when it was always you

And so I sit thinking “what a waste of time”

When all tokens of love turned to acid and lime

I might not own a lot, yet I know you are at loss

For I was more than a body, or a coin you toss

And now I see that I don’t need you in order not to be alone

For I am one great entity, a soul, with a mind of my own

Sometimes I yearn for the past, yet I know I am ready to go

Yet I never forgive you for letting my tears easily and repeatedly flow

For you swore and swore, yet treated me alike a disposable bag

Yet I was the first one to raise the little white flag

So you can’t play the victim now

For I swear I don’t need you and I vow

I am all on my own and I am alive

Though love is one mad drive

Raise the good deed, keep the pride (kick that man in the butt if necessary!), hold the happy thought and love yourself more; and Allah will always love you, dear. :x
