Dreams Are For Dancing: A Poem
The dress will fit if I try it on
The me in my dreams, that is
That girl is fit and fabulous
She's one hot little dish!
Parties galore, she goes to them
Dancing, laughing, having fun
Trim and full of energy
No stopping ‘til the rising sun!
All eyes on her as she enters
Her jittery nerves never show
Grinning from ear to ear
Her feet are ready to go!
She promises each one a dance
Her suitors are all in a line
Slow dancing 'round the room
The night is her’s for a time!
Yes, that dress will fit someday
If wishes and dreams come true
Exercise and diet, just to be safe
I’m ready to party, but I’m no fool!
