Envisioned Presence

By: Wayne Brown

Boundless, massive, stretches of sand

Stretching to the ocean's span

Sand and water clash as shore reached

Boundary’s edge, neither breached

High, skyward reaching mountains

Capped with forest’s massive span

Iced with snow caps of white

Shimmering in sunlight ever bright

Ocean waves tumble, boil, and swirl

Blue dark waters from other worlds

Tumble upon rocks along the shore

Never ceasing, always coming evermore

Clouds of puffy, light, white purveyance

Growing, spreading, in their presence

Building on the coming, surging winds

To dissipate then form again

Wind swirling, twisting, whirling down

Tossing leaves and dust around

Roaring across the landscape unabated

Invisible, potent, yet understated

Rain in sheets driven by the speed of wind

Claps of thunder again and again

Lightning stretching from cloud to ground

Rain falling, falling all around

Sunlight breaks across the darkness of night

Signaling day’s coming with light so bright

Painting the sky with a blinding array

Offering the promise of a coming day

Moonlight and stars bathe the night

As the sun sets with its last light

Bringing night and the Heaven’s above

Signs of God and all his Love

You speak of God's love, so warm and true

which is why He gave the gift of words and poetry to you

I thank Him down on bended knee

for the recent love of poetry you have caused to be in me

You and I often don't see eye to eye

but after reading this poem, I can't help but wonder why

You love the things I love

which comes only from the man above

In common we have the love of country, people and the pen

and I am thankful to have you as my hubpages friend.

Thanks Wayne for the beautiful poem. LP

Beautiful! Love the possibilities: Offering the promise of a coming day

The pictures in the video were amazing. Almost all with water - oceans, lakes, streams . . .

To me, water is calming, relaxing, restoring . . .no wonder that I am pushing for a beach vacation this summer. Now just gotta convince my sister, daughter . . . someone!!

@Truckstop Sally...I was lost in the beauty that is the world when I wrote this one. For all the ugly the world has to offer there is still more than enough beauty to make you forget it all...that's a good thing. WB
