Each Step Through Life.

Source
  • Step one is to realise ,to long for,to dream.
  • Step two is the first step onto life's wondrous journey.
  • Step three is to break away form that chameleon with a newly found strength,so deep,so compelling and to recognise the truth.
  • Step four is escape from the cage, the rusty chains, each link weighed down by life's dark days.
  • Step five is to begin the journey to find our very own selves ; with a strength so new and so welcomed.
  • Step six is to take that very first grasp of our dream;to learn to love ourselves;to truly recognise our own true worth.
  • Step seven is to share with a willing heart and strengthened soul;to appreciate each surrounding; to love with a new beat.
  • Step eight a true spirit now flying freely ;that once upon a time prisoner so cocooned, hidden from life's cruelty, life's tragedies existing but only in hushed whispers.
  • Step nine that cocoon recognised as life's chrysalis, seemingly so strong but we learn to rise above with the wisdom of the white dove , the first baby steps of eternal hope.
  • Step ten is to recognise the beauty from within compelling each survival instinct to face our new world. From within such beauty emerges from that cocooned Chrysalis ;a beautiful fragile butterfly.Colours so mesmerising and tender wings to carry each victorious story ,sharing with each heart, each land and worldwide.

Below is a lady who today is certainly living her dream. A sure example of why we must never ever give up on ours.

Susan Boyle will always have a place in my heart ; a place of appreciation and respect .Her audition in X Factor was a moment in time that I will never ever forget. A mixture of the judges faces and the goose pimples that her beautiful voice brings has to be a magical moment in time.

Here is one lady who is certainly living her dream. An inspiration of the truest kind.

Each new day I live

Sea and skies meet.

My new life I give.

Break out from that cocoon

Into a precious butterfly.

How my heart proudly sings

As I see you pass by.

Today I proudly stand

Forever and a day.

In the knowledge that others

Have also found their way.

Lovely analysis on life. I recently wrote a hub on eating your daily bread, this is the thought I find so helpful in keeping me balanced in life. Living each step at or day at a time. Beautifully said and written.

You certainly enter each reader's mind...giving us food for thought and beauty to ponder. Your Steps Through Life, one more true than the next, using the amazing Susan Boyle as an example, and then you wrap this beautiful present up with your poetry!

Voted up, awesome and beautiful.

Think of all the potential that lies within us, and all the potential that is wasted by so many. We have the power to move mountains with our words and actions....and we settle for little piles of sand.

Thank you for a reminder of what is within us. Beautiful as always.

love,

billy

A M A Z I N G....I come back time and time because you have that unique gift of placing just the right words together to paint pictures that remain with me as I move away from your page.

And Susan Boyle...I too get goose bumps every time I hear her...and the day she was discovered...let that be a lesson to all....that talents are hidden just waiting to be discovered.

Voted up ++++ and shared...Sending you many Angels today :) ps

Eddy my friend you just get better and better! What a depth of insight but spoken with such beauty - awesome!!

Yes, Susan Boyle - what an absolute treasure she is!! I don't like programmes like the X Factor, but I just happened to see Susan Boyle and I think my jaw must have dropped a couple of feet - her voice is a dream and yes she is living it, a hope to everyone of us!

Eddy voted up everything and I would have voted much more if allowed!

I remember so well watching the night that Susan came on stage and the look that the judges gave her and then when she opened her mouth and the first note came out, the amazement we all felt. What a great lesson we learned, never judge from the outside. Beautiful..Your poetry is just as beautiful Eddy. Thank you for being an inspiration to me and so many others..God Bless.....

Eddy, I think this is your best poem yet. Incorporating the success of Susan Boyle, the once-ugly-duckling, proves that is the no dream beyond reach. Oh my goodness, I have goosebumps all over my being and a beautiful flutter in my heart.

Hi Eddy,

Your way with words is truly magical. Your steps through life are so apt and true, step 7 I love -

"is to share with a willing heart and strengthened soul;to appreciate each surrounding; to love with a new beat"

Susan Boyle's audition I was watching too and was blown away by her. Her voice is amazing and that song . . . . truly I got goosebumps too watching.

Awesome work, votes +++, shared and pinned!

really great hub. I feel as human beings that each of us should try to accomplish something that we will be proud of even after we are gone from this earth. whether it is small or big. remaining humble, staying true to ourselves, and always remembering to give more than we receive will make us appreciate what we do have and what others don't have. voted up.
