Poem/ Short Story: Each Time I look in the Mirror!

I see not only a

portrait

But also ready

picture of myself,

Another view

of mankind

That’s molded

into me.

I see myself

as one small piece

of this this great

big puzzle

which we call.

Humanity.

I see myself

as a branch

of this mysterious

But god's creation

molded into

you and me.

I see myself

as a single bulb,

Contributing

to the light!

A light that

must shine

from each and

every human

that was born

A light that

must never

stop shining

As mankind

shares knowledge

continues on.

A life given to me

even without

my consent

Without any thought

of how I may

use, or abuse

The duration

of my stay.

Whether or not

I turn out to be

Just another

cheating misery

or a no good Liar

With no regard

for anyone

but hauntingly

to himself.

One that’s evil,

selfish, seems

unsure of where

all men has

truly come from!

When I took

that truthful look

into my life’s mirror

I saw a glimmer

of trust and hope.

It’s no doubt that

our creator

Designed it

that way.

He instilled feelings

and emotions

The likes of which

we won't dare

try to summon

or conjure up.

But he made certain

that each man

has his equal

share of his

own ability to dream.

He also instilled the ability to believe

and bear witness that sincere dreams,

always comes through

It's always enough left

for those of us to wake from our slumber

Rise with a joyous screams

Don't take for granted, or selfishly take advantage

Of another man's calling!

Let all those who knowingly prey on the weakness of others

Be aware that there are much better things they can do.

Let them search their hearts

and place those thoughtless shoes on the other foot.

For it's only a matter of time,

before those same atrocities will be on their way to you!

Oh yes!

Evil is powerful, but it must forever answer to Good.

See that shiny car that one may be driving today

It would forever be at the mercy of that which is under the Hood!

It's truly today for you and forever for me sir, that's the way I see it

Each time I look into the mirror!

Do you believe in faith?

Faith is conviction of truth without tangible proof. From a young boy , there was a time while I was attending the Pentecostal church with my older brother, I asked many questions to the elders and the pastor of the church. But the two most important ones were. What is faith and where did God come from?

The Bible says that "faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" one could not be answered, but the other made me believe. Because as a young boy I had always wished for many things myself. Not asked! Wished! In thinking about myself and my own existence. I easily told myself, that the Source of all living things would have to come from some superior and the word I heard and liked , was supernatural. That was God.

All truthful thought leads to, or is a belief. So I never stopped believing, thus having faith. Something to go by, because this it seems everyday will simply be a guess resulting in lack of self control, no boundaries and no foundation.

I no longer need the answers for any of those questions.

I did and I am 110% sure it's for real and forever.

First is my beautiful Mother 91 years old . That cannot change and her mother came from somewhere , that cannot change,in going on , I can stop someplace, or don't go anymore. I must be true and sincere to the decision that I make for my parents were. That's why am here.

Note I did not say get it correct, because life is change and change fuels life.
