Eating Sweettarts And Loving It

Something Delicious

Just enough

Craving for more

I love them rolling around in my mouth

So small but triggering all the memories of a kid

The good times didn't stop when the sun went down

They began at anytime

As long as my friends were there

Nothing else seemed to matter

We had each other's back

From time to time we fought

Some how the anger never lasted

Before you know it

We were playing side by side

All the problems in the world

Were some where out there

Just not here

I was almost certain they would never come my way

Even though older kids made sure they told me

What do you know ?

Just wait when you get my age you'll see

Life is not a bowl of cherries

It's more like the pits

I hope your wrong and I am sad you feel that way

It didn't take long

For someone to shrug their shoulders

Then walk away

I thought then and I still believe

Life is what we make of it

I don't know whatever happened to the older boys

What I do know

Is I do all I can

To make life better than what I imagined

Now that is some feather to stick in your hat

Best way to go through life always making something out of nothing and making life better.

Gypsy Rose Lee If we spend all our time enjoying the good things in life we rarely have time to get disgusted or upset about the bad. At the same time we are always expanding our horizons to make room for positive things that make our world fantastic. Thank you for reading and sharing your thoughts and input.
