Embrace - An Original Poem By S
Who are we?
And what have we become?
So many answers to these questions
Lost along the way since we were young
The pressures of peers and deadlines in this conformist society
Only out to feed it's own power
They don't care for you and me
I live for stars
Clear and bright
The sunrise above the sea
The leaves that fall when Autumn is calling me
The Earth tells me that these pressures don't matter
Unless they're a neccesity
I want to still this endless chatter
So my mind can be free
So much love in the world
Yet we turn away
Never understanding that
If we embrace that love
We embrace ourselves
We believe we are alone
This is an illusion
We are never alone.
