"Empty Cup/Tin Man"
My heart skips a beat, drops to the floor,
faster than it ever has before.
One word from you,
and you've got my mind spinning.
I think I'm supposed to save you,
when I'm the one drowning,
and you're just swimming.
It never fails...to fail,
this f***ed up way life is killing us.
My cup's looking half empty,
won't you please fill it up.
Once upon a time you did,
only to let it pour out.
You stained my heart red,
you filled it with doubt,
but it was your doubt, not mine.
I believed in you,
But every word was a lie,
even the bitter truth.
Because you don't understand
anything else but steel.
A tin man has no heart.
He only knows rust and pain,
loose screws tearing him apart.
And when you fall down,
Dorothy won't be there to raise you up.
Your oil is all gone.
There's nothing left in your cup...
Just a broken memory
of the girl you couldn't(wouldn't) love.
