...Enigmatic Ocean...poetry by Carole Anzolletti
Silver blue waves rolling
under sanguine flames
extinguish all the creatures
I have yet to name
Blistered clouds can linger
smoke can rise so high
but underneath the inferno
are where my intentions lie
Distance comes between us
the voices wrapped in wire
Cut against the paleness
where my skin expires
Down under the surface
clothed in tides of black
is where my core is rooted
and where I must go back
Amidst the old shipwrecks
and sunken chests of lore
I find my hidden lives
More vibrant than before
If I could just remain there
without losing all my breath
Then I'll decypher this inferno
before I rest in death
