I wrote this one when I was 18. I share some poems from the past occasionally.
The sand merges with the ocean
every second of every day,
A love they've built for centuries
a bond that's there to stay.
The waves crash against the sand
sweep its heart away,
And take it for a journey
as they dance, and sing, and play.
Whether they're smiling at the sunshine
or making love at night,
They always work in unity
to achieve their common plight.
So if you were my ocean
and I, your eternal sand,
I will stand by you forever
as we step forth hand in hand.
