Faded Dreams

My heart weeps
for all that was...
for faded dreams
and just because...
for the yearning of
a heart that's true
that burns beyond
in silent hue.
for hopes of love
once burning bright
that paled beneath
the cloak of night.
a flicker caught
my lonely eye
within a flash
to bolt and fly.
for bittersweet
elusive love
that lit, then flew,
a graceful dove.
My heart, yes, weeps
for many things...
for dreams that fade
and fleeting wings.

Beautifully worded way to express something we've all felt at one time or another. Very talented lady!
