Familiar Tree (poem)

She tells him once again

Under the bows of their familiar tree

The scene of countless kisses

Of fantasies delicious

When two young people met

Enjoying each other’s company

Never knowing they were in love

Until it was time to part

Dark was the stream of their heart

But on the very next day

He returned and brought back the day

They finally tasted the kiss

Which never seemed important

All those vast endless moments

Spring’s Joy beyond atonements

And from that kiss

Life would always find them together

Under their tree

Walking the streets

Familiar and far

Growing each day

In the love which they both share

Such beauty scented the air

Yet still there was far more

For this couple kissing under their tree

Together they could fashion dreams

Together they would light paths of enchantment

Together they stood as the possibilities

Of a world without cannots

Just dancing to lovers’ thoughts

But speaking of lovers’ thoughts

As he reached for music of her voice

Which found its freedom long ago

To the flowing winds of time

Waiting for him patiently

Under their familiar tree

So lovely, and reminds me of the tree my sweetie and I spend countless hours under before we were married and our love is endless!

Up and more and sharing
