Farewell Snow!

oh melting snow, you puddle so
but I rejoice to see you...
melt away, please melt all day
just let the sun now free you!

oh melting snow, i bid you go
although you once were welcome
like any guest, outbid your quest
we all now beckon spring come.

oh melting snow, now freely flow.
I bid you fond adieu, now...
we yearn for spring, her warmth to bring
and wave farewell to you, now!

Just when I've started to see the street, the weatherman says more snow more sleet (really)! I'm TIRED of it! Peace!! Tom

Umna, no sarcasm meant. I love the snow, but enough is enough and melting snow gives way to spring...Thank you for your visit and comment!

I enjoyed this and living in the middle of nowhere in Wales (UK) it is something I am becoming increasingly familiar with. The children missed 4 weeks of school this year all told, just because the hills are too steep for my little car in the snow and given it is a 20 mile drive each way (twice a day) it was impossible to walk. I really related to this one :-)

Oh my, opusmith! I now live in Florida where snow is unheard of...but I wrote this one while visiting my son in Maryland, where he lives and works, and snow is the norm, in winter. I hope you are enjoying the spring and summer! Thank you!

Very beautiful and witty =) Though, we don't have snow (like never ever) I can feel it in every pore =)
