Fire and Water

Fire and Water

Fire and Water

It starts as a spark,

and turns into a flame.

Traveling along in jagged, untamed paths,

burning up everything in its sight.

Free flowing liquid,

both rapid and reaching.

Its path unknown,

Swirling and gentle.

Vicious and unforgiving,

its smoldering heat oppresses the air.

Creeping and crackling,

it chars everything in its path.

Cascades and ripples,

flowing in different directions.

Nature’s drink,

quenching our thirst.

Hot and cold,

bold and passive.

Spirited and untamed,

natural and free.

Enjoyed your poetry. You mixed two elements in poetry that don't mix in life. Creative! Voted up!
